Retinol is a fat-soluble chemical molecule and a vitamin A derivative that belongs to the retinoid family. For anti-aging and skin-clearing properties, it is regarded as the gold standard.
Vitamin A, one of the first vitamins approved by FDA for anti-wrinkle medication, improves surface appearance of the skin and has anti-ageing properties. The most potent anti-aging substances are vitamin A and its derivatives, particularly retinol.
Retinoid has anti-wrinkle qualities, boosts keratinocyte proliferation, strengthens the epidermis' protective function, limits trans-epidermal water loss and prevents collagen from deterioration. It neutralises free radicals and promotes the synthesis of elastin and collagen. Retinol is used to treat acne, minimise effects of ageing and sun damage. It contains vital vitamins that restore the skin and prevents moisture loss, also supporting the skin's collagen structure. This improves appearance and slows down the aging process.
HYALURONIC ACID (0.25% W/W): Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring molecule that keeps your skin, joints and tissues hydrated and healthy. Aids in moisture retention of the skin as well as reduction of fine lines and wrinkles.
RETINOL (1.00% W/W): Retinol is Vitamin A, a natural exfoliant that increases skin cell turnover. Boosts collagen production, retinoids decrease fine lines and wrinkles. They promote growth of new blood vessels which improves skin colour.
GLYCERINE (2.00%W/W): Glycerine is good as it's a humectant, it helps the skin retain moisture. Helps hydrate the skin, reduces dryness and revitalises the skin.
GREEN TEA EXTRACT 1.00% W/W): When used frequently as part of your skincare routine, green tea extract can truly be a miracle ingredient. It helps your skin retain natural hydration, treats acne, cleanses pores and reduce inflammation which causes puffiness.
